Dell World 2016 will be here in no time. The conference returns to Austin, TX at The Austin Convention Center October 18-20. Dell World is where thought leaders, experts, and IT professionals  gather to preview the newest Dell product offerings and receive in-depth training on the latest innovations in storage, cloud, virtualization, and more. But with the Dell/EMC deal nearing finalization, is it worth it to attend Dell World if you already attended EMC World 2016? We think so. Here are just a few reasons why we think you would find value in Dell World even if you went to EMC World earlier this year.

Dell World 2016 will be the first major event post EMC acquisition

If all goes as planned, Dell Technologies is set to complete its $63 billion acquisition of EMC this week (Fortune reports that the deal will close September 7th). This merger has been a long time in the making with the original announcement coming almost a year ago. Though we all guessed back then what the acquisition would mean for EMC and Dell data centers, we can now expect some more defined answers.  Seeing these two tech giants step forward as one will surely be an event you don’t want to miss.

What about EMC?

At the close of EMC World this year, we were most excited at the prospect of how EMC’s hardware and software lines would fit into the overall Dell Technologies product strategy. Dell World 2016 will give you the inside scoop into just that. This year’s conference will offer various breakout sessions and labs specific to data storage, all of which center on EMC products. Attendees will gain first-hand experience with software-defined storage, data protection, and architecting a unified data center solutions plus more. So even if your data center has always been an EMC shop, knowing what Dell is offering, promoting, supporting, and integrating could be critical to optimizing and maintaining your EMC infrastructure.
