EMC End of Life & End of Service Life Information

End-of-Life is a major milestone for your EMC hardware. Not sure when your storage systems are going end-of-life (EOL)? Use this list to find out upcoming EMC EOL dates for all your VNX2, VNX, Isilon, VNXe, CLARiiON CX4, CLARiiON CX3, CLARiiON CX, and Data Domain systems. For more information on EMC product milestones, post-warranty support options, and how to save on EOL data storage hardware, visit our Resources page or reach out to one of our EMC storage specialists.

EOL

EOL, or "End of Life," means that EMC will no longer be selling the storage array and will recommend a new system upgrade. When an EMC storage array is deemed EOL, it does not automatically mean you have to upgrade to the latest product line. Third-party support vendors such as Reliant Technology can offer upgrades and support for equipment several years after EOL dates, enabling you to extend the life of your hardware.

EOPS

EOPS, or "End of Primary Support," means that EMC is no longer offering primary support on that storage array. There may be extended support options from EMC, but you can also opt to move your storage array to an EMC third-party support vendor that can provide maintenance and support at the same level as EMC, but at a fraction of the cost of extended support.

EOSL

EOSL, or "End of Service Life," means that all support, including both primary and extended support options, have ended. It may still be possible to get support from EMC after equipment has gone EOSL, but this will be at a premium cost. However, EOSL equipment can still be put under support through a third-party support vendor such as Reliant Technology with multiple SLA options to choose the support level that meets your needs.
