How does EMC support used EMC storage?
All EMC equipment from Reliant is 100% original EMC. Therefore, all equipment is eligible for EMC support, but may require an additional fee. As an alternative, Reliant offers its own support option for hardware that typically provides savings of 30-60% compared to manufacturer prices.

How old is the used storage equipment you provide?
Depending on the equipment we have in stock and the generation of the equipment you wish to purchase, the age of the equipment may vary from factory sealed to several months or years. Most equipment is only a few months old and likely has fewer hours than equipment currently in your data center. For newer systems, Reliant may be able to provide factory-sealed disk in order to meet your needs.
Used storage comes from a variety of places including manufacturer overstock, customer surplus, or liquidation after a business acquisition. All equipment is guaranteed 100% manufacturer original.
Reliant customers can purchase with confidence as Reliant’s inventory is carefully tested with a 7-Step Quality Assurance Process and technician-approved before shipping. All equipment is backed by our 1-Year 110% Next Business Day Parts Replacement Guarantee.
If you have a drive fail during our 1-Year Warranty period, Reliant will ship a next business day replacement and refund you 10% of the value of the drive for your inconvenience. A 2-Year uplift is available on certain equipment.

How long will it take for my order to ship?
Orders can often ship the same day the order is processed, making overnight shipping available for complete storage arrays, storage upgrades or disk drives. All systems and upgrades shipped from Reliant are fully tested, and while we strive to expedite all shipments, we will not rush a shipment and sacrifice quality.

Yes, IBM will support used IBM equipment. All IBM equipment sold by Reliant Technology is 100% manufacturer original. Our equipment is fully tested and eligible for IBM maintenance and support. Systems bought from Reliant Technology can be put under support with IBM by contacting your current IBM VAR, IBM Customer Service, or an IBM business partner and providing the system serial number and customer ID. If you do not have an IBM business partner, Reliant can assist you in finding a support partner for the equipment you purchase.
In some circumstances, an authentication, diagnostic, or certification process by an IBM engineer may be required. Reliant Technology can arrange the certification on behalf of the customer if it is needed.

Reliant can assist by arranging logistics and providing estimated value on storage assets.
