This position is accountable for educating our customer and sales teams on all things storage and helping to improve the size and scope of data storage projects.
Common daily activities may include:
- Customer calls: Team up with sales to vet customer requirements, propose alternatives and brainstorm possible solutions.
- Troubleshooting: From time to time we run into issues during an installation or implementation. Your job will be to act as a resource and guide to calmly address the root cause and offer solutions to address the issue.
- Communication: Assure that marketing information is used in a highly effective way to facilitate in-person and online communities, including: websites, blogs, email communication, social networking, etc.
- Customer service: providing “concierge” service to major customers.
- Mentoring: Act as a guide, helping our in house engineering and sales team grow their knowledge (we quality test multiple brands of storage and switching technology in our in house lab).
Job Requirements:
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Dedication to delivering excellent customer service
- 3-5+ years of hands on experience with a major storage brand (preferably EMC, NetAPP, IBM)
- Familiarity with issues of data storage, disaster recovery and data availability.

Staff Accountant
Title: Staff Accountant

Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant for Reliant Technology will perform all duties related to the accounting and bookkeeping functions of the organization within established deadlines.
As the next team member, you’ll naturally be someone who calls themselves outgoing and personable, and truly loves accounting and the numbers. The good news is we also want your ideas on how to make our systems and processes better – as we actually want to hear what you’ve got to say! Interesting huh? We don’t have a dress code or vacation policy, but what we do have is a commitment and esprit de corps to deliver.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Prepare, record, and process accounts payable and cash disbursements
- Monitor and analyze budget-to-actual expenses
- Ability to query Quickbooks, Fishbowl Inventory Management and Spreadsheets
- Assist in developing short and long range financial goals, operating plans, policies and objectives
- Assist in establishment and maintenance of internal controls, policies and procedures and keep current on all state and federal requirements related to profit accounting
- Prepare quarterly and annual cost reports
- Prepare allocations tables for indirect expenses and revenue items as needed
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Maintain required records, reports and files in an organized manner
- Conduct internal audits
- Calculate sales commission
Qualifications and Requirements:
- B.S. degree in accounting
- Three years relevant experience in accounting, combined with a proven ability to accomplish defined goals and objectives
- Strong analytical skills
- Effectively utilize technology such as Quickbooks, Excel
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Balance multiple demands, prioritize tasks and retain clear focus
- Ability to organize and meet deadlines for a wide variety of job assignments
- Perform additional functions incidental to office activities
- Facilitate collaborative and cooperative working relationships
- Demonstrated ability to work as a proactive self-starter with the capability of managing details
Additional consideration will be given to candidates with:
- Experience working with Fishbowl Inventory management software
- Experience working with Inventory Management systems in general
- Experience calculating sales commissions
